I just returned last week and have a little one now! Downtown consisted of one grocery store slash post office, a moped rental place, and several street vendors selling tshirts and knick-knacks. If you broke your arm on the island, you also went to the "vet" because he was the only one who had an x-ray machine. Stray dogs on the island (besides this pen on the beach) were free to roam and do what they wanted, which is dangerous for obvious reasons. I am grateful that we were able to save Sophie and encourage anyone who wants a dog to do the same...
