In an effort to fulfill my selfish need to do what I can to help the many dogs that are currently without a family/person to love them, I decided to create this blog. I feel inspired on a daily basis by my now 3 year old Potcake, Sophie. I know that if I can reach even one person and they decide to rescue a dog as opposed to buying from a pet store or even a breeder, I have succeeded.

I believe I have always held a bigger place in my heart for dogs and animals than the average person. I knew I had to one day do everything I could to take action and rescue as many helpless animals as I could when I saw the first homeless/helpless stray on a trip to Venezuela. There was nothing I could do at the time, but I have never forgotten the sadness that overcame me and since then I have vowed to do my part.

I hope to one day have my own rescue organization, but until then I hope this blog educates people on ways to rescue/adopt and even facts on just owning a pet of your own.
